Some men wear a monogrammed signet ring. Dandies take things a bit further.
Take entertainer Dandy Wellington, for example, whom we chatted with last night at the four-year anniversary party for bespoke clothier Against Nature (which is managed, incidentally, by Nathaniel Adams, co-author of the imminent “I Am Dandy”).
Wellington has put a twist on masculine jewelry by having a metalworker friend cast a watch fob in his logo-cum-likeness.
It’s a dandyish beau geste/jest and clever act of self-assertion in the service of vanity — and personal branding. We thought it fobulous.
